About Ashby

We are a 5 minute walk from the town centre of Ashby-de-la-Zouch amenities, shops, restaurants (all types of cuisine) post office, tourist information and we even have the English Heritage 'Ashby Castle' just down the road. We also have the counties only 'Lido' (open air swimming pool) as well as an indoor pool.

Ashby's town centre is compact and thriving, with shop after shop after shop of independent traders, from clothing to jewellery to food and drink, you will be spoiled for choice.

When night falls there are restaurants and takeaways, cocktail bars and nightclubs, micropubs and old fashioned drinking establishments to choose from, most have live music in the evenings.

Ashby is also blessed to be holding many events through the year such as Tractor Runs, Food Gusto's, Scooter Rallies and Music Festivals. Most weekends you will find something going on.

The Wider Area

Ashby is literally in the heart of the National Forest. As a result the former coalfields that surround it, there are now many green open spaces, full of nature reserves and dog walking spots.

For great days out head to Hicks Lodge (5 minutes by car) and Conkers (10 minutes by car) sit on our doorstep. Ashby sits on a crossroads making it easy to head north, south, east or west.

If you want to head a bit futher afield, the A42 runs past the town connecting Nottingham and Birmingham, and the A511 connecting Leicester and Burton-upon-Trent.
