Ashby is literally in the heart of the National Forest. As a result the former coalfields that surround it, there are now many green open spaces, full of nature reserves and dog walking spots.
For great days out head to Hicks Lodge (5 minutes by car) and Conkers (10 minutes by car) sit on our doorstep. Ashby sits on a crossroads making it easy to head north, south, east or west.
If you want to head a bit futher afield, the A42 runs past the town connecting Nottingham and Birmingham, and the A511 connecting Leicester and Burton-upon-Trent.
